For a week over Thanksgiving we were able to visit both of my homes that have shaped me into who I am today and that hold people and places that are very dear. We first flew to Fort Wayne on a Friday morning and spent the day running around town with Mama Schu. Saturday we drove through a snow storm with Stollers to Remington for a Covenant Chamber Choir weekend then finished off the time there spending sweet time with family and friends.
Back in the Fort! We pulled our coats out of storage bins and braved the much cooler weather than we've gotten used to ;) We went thrift shopping, ate out for breakfast, and filled up on delicious samples at Costco!
Swung by IPFW so Zach could pick up his diploma! A lot of sweat and tears went into getting that piece of paper! (mostly from me ;D)
Dinner, games and goofing off Friday night!
Awkward Family Photos!
Dinner with friends Sunday night
Winter Wonderland! It was so nice to be there for the first major snowfall. We thought it was especially beautiful because we knew we were going to be leaving the cold and snow for the rest of winter ;)
Our wonderful hosts in Wolcott, Shane and Alyssa
Met these lovelies for breakfast :)
Enjoyed an evening of catching up with some of our wonderful friends!
We also got to meet John and Amy's newest addition to their family but sadly I didn't take any pictures :(
Tuesday we flew from Fort Wayne to Phoenix for time with my family. We tried fabulous new to us restaurants: Mod Pizza and The Vig, caught up with some dear friends, celebrated Thanksgiving with the extended family, did some light Black Friday shopping, and took family pictures :).
Testing our bank of knowledge with Trivial Pursuit
Enjoyed a lovely dinner with the Swails' and Gina E. The little boys were so sweet!
Always good to catch up with this girl :)
Waiting for instructions at family pictures
