Land of Sunshine!

It's definitely Fall in most parts of the country but it sure doesn't seem like it here!  November has felt no different than September, maybe even hotter!! Last week the temps were in the 90s!!  It. Is. Hot!!!!!  We're told this is abnormal and that the heat should break soon.  Come on Florida Winter!! 

We've been keeping busy down here mostly with work, evenings at TNB, house projects, and weekend trips.

One of our "hobbies" is eating ;)  We like the experience of eating out and trying new places.  Our area is full of restaurants that are new to us and small mom and pop places to try.  We make it a weekly thing to try a new place (not so nice on the budget or the waistline! ;P)  Usually on a Thursday after work we trade turns picking a place we've driven by.  (note: my phone stinks so Zach usually takes the pictures, hence why I am in all of them :/)

We were skeptical about the BBQ chain "Rib City" but were pleasantly surprised :)

After a frustrating Saturday where our plan to spend the afternoon at Fort Myers beach was altered due to house projects taking longer than expected and poor communication, we I got over the unmet expectations and rushed to the beach to catch the last bit of sunlight.  SO glad we did!  We searched the sand for shells to add to our growing collection and watched a wedding ceremony happen right next to us.

Watched the Hodel kids while their parents were in Sarasota for a birthday celebration :)  Zach has already got the older two playing Smash Up with him ;)

October 24-26 Jeff and Sarah came to visit!  So good to be together!!  We met them in Sarasota where they were staying and enjoyed a perfect day at the Sarasota Farmer's Market, an afternoon at BEAUTIFUL Siesta Key, and an evening in making dinner with Farmer's Market finds :)

On Sunday night they came down to experience an evening with TNB.  We enjoyed delicious food from our friends Randy and Brenda and singing praises together!

October 29 was Damere's 4th birthday!!  His mommy threw him a super fun party :)

Weeknights except Thursday you can find us down the street hanging with TNB.  Zach is a hit with the kids, what else is new? ;)

We were so proud of this truck for getting us and our stuff safely to Florida but it's been giving us grief ever since we've arrived!  Hopefully we'll trade it for something more reliable in a few months.

We wrapped up October with a weekend at Lakewood Retreat with the Sarasota and Fort Myers churches.  It was a nice time of relaxing and getting to know the people we'll be fellowshipping with her in Florida!

The transition is going really well so far!  I've had a few unexplainable "down" days lately which hasn't been fun but overall things are going really smooth and we love what we're doing down here.  Thanks for prayers!  

We'll be in Indiana in about 2 weeks and Phoenix in 3!  Can't wait!!
