Friday Flashback

    It's time for the 2nd Friday Flashback (I have done terrible at my goal to blog every Friday with a "flashback" post :/).  My random selection of a folder of pictures resulted in this fun memory...

    
    In early January of 2010 my two good friends, Christina and Katie, and I traveled to Washington, D.C. over the winter break of our junior year in college.   We decided the summer before that we wanted to take this trip and started planning and saved up our money for the 6ish months before we departed.  We stayed with Christina's aunt and uncle who live in Virginia about 30 minutes from downtown.  For a week we braved the cold weather and crammed just about every museum and historical site imaginable into our long days of touring the city.  Some highlights for me were probably the American History Museum, the Lincoln memorial, and the Holocaust Museum.  It was SUCH a good idea to visit in January as lots of things were free and there were no crowds!!  If you bundled up enough when walking between buildings it was not bad at all!  It was such a great time getting to know these girls better and sharing a neat trip together filled with lots of memories :)
