Where has the time gone? Our precious, spunky, amazing, joy-child, Brynn, is 7 months old! I haven't blogged about her since her birth story!! Oh well, blogging hasn't really been my thing lately and I've tracked her first year well in a baby book but it doesn't hurt to have a few more methods of documentation ;)
Here's a summary of Miss B over her first 7 months
+ From day 1 she's been an excellent sleeper. Our first night in the hospital was a rough one but she slept really well the 2nd night and has gone long stretches ever since. For the first couple of weeks we tried to wake her every 3 hours at night to feed her but it was a challenge to wake her up. Definitely going to let the sleeping baby lie next time around! Now she is in bed between 7 and 8 and is up for the day between 6 and 7. Occasionally she wakes a couple times in the night when she moves too far up against the crib railing but goes right back to sleep when you give her the pacifier
+Alway been very alert and strong. Held her head up very early, strong legs from early on, and we joke that she needs to relax because she's usually very stiff as a board
+"She must be cutting teeth" is what we have heard from just about everyone since she was 2 months old. Always drooling and chewing chewing chewing but still NO TEETH!
+Rolled over at about 4 or 5 weeks but didn't do it very often so we decided it must have been a fluke. She started to roll from tummy to back more consistently around 3 months and only recently figured out how to go from her back to her tummy!
+Breastfed exclusively until Hurricane Irma, then added a bottle of formula a day when I lost my freezer supply and couldn't pump enough when I went back to work. Went to all formula just before 7 months
+We started solid foods at 4 months and she caught on quickly. Likes to eat and doesn't seem to prefer anything over another, she likes it all so far :)
+An excellent traveler! Flew really well early on but our last trip in December was a little rough. I think she was getting bored :/. Slept almost the entire road trip as we evacuated Florida back in September
+Just before Christmas she started to pull herself around on her belly then officially started crawling on December 29th. Now she's a quick mover and pulls herself up to standing on furniture and in her crib. Bonks her head a lot on the tile as she's becoming more mobile and more adventurous :(
+Now can sit on her own and sit herself up from crawling
+Not a huge fan of the carseat at first but alway calmed down once we got in the car and started moving. Lately, though she pitches more of a fit for a longer period of time while we're driving
+Not a snuggler :(
+*Knock on wood* she has not been sick yet, Praise the Lord!! Not even a fever or cough but just today I noticed more of a runny nose than usual...
+Names we call her: B, Miss B, Brynnie, Brynnie Boo, Brynn-a-lynn, Brynn-a-lynn-a-ding-dong, Stinky Pete(usually when her diaper is stinky ;))
+Purely a joy and a delight! She makes people smile wherever she goes and gets lots of compliments about how beautiful and happy she is! "Look at those big blue eyes!" and "You look like your daddy!" are the two main comments we hear :)
Brynn you have far exceeded our expectations about what having a daughter would be like. We are so proud of you and are so thankful God chose us to be your parents. You are one special, unique, and wonderful little girl. We love you!
Here are some of my favorite pictures from the last 7 months...
looking jaundiced. Went to the Dr that afternoon because she hadn't pooped since the hospital
first time to the beach (Miami Beach)
evacuating Irma led to a fun day spent in Atlanta
